On Wednesday, June 29, 2016, the activity day took place again on the factory premises of the Carl Stahl location in Munich. This time the motto of the event was The new form of occupational safety. Around 400 participants from the entire area of Carl Stahl Süd GmbH accepted the invitation and experienced an informative and exciting day. At this event, customers had the opportunity to talk to Carl Stahl employees directly on site. The focus was on customers actively experiencing Carl Stahl's solutions and thus finding their ideal solution for the safe lifting and moving of heavy loads. In practice-oriented stations, Carl Stahl presented many of his solutions in detail. Particularly great interest was shown in the crane solutions station. There, customers could actively experience the system solutions in the crane and handling area. These included, for example, the Carl Stahl crate grab in the system with a continuously variable load lifting system for effortless lifting, for example in the order picking area. Flexible manufacturing solutions were presented with a travelling crane and Elebia's automatic hook solutions. A large part of the exhibition was dedicated to innovative lifting equipment. There, customers could try out lifting clamps, balancers or magnets themselves and experience the advantages of safe handling of heavy metal plates or pipes, for example. Customers were particularly interested in the new development of a tube clamp from Carl Stahl. In a crane course, the customers could then experience for themselves what significance the stable load suspension can have for work safety in a truss solution. In this way, the theoretical basics, which were taught in a lecture, could be deepened in practice. Customers were also particularly active at the stand for personal protective equipment against falls from a height, where harnesses could be tried on in a drop tower. From a dizzying 10 m height, customers were able to try out the functionality of fall arrest blocks for themselves. The demonstration of a rescue exercise also made it clear that personal protective equipment against falls from a height depends on an overall concept that Carl Stahl can offer tailor-made for its customers. With the Rotomax and No-Cut solutions, Carl Stahl was able to demonstrate its solution competence, for example in coil handling or in the turning of slit strips. Particularly impressive in this context was the station where customers were allowed to try to saw through a No-Cut protective hose from SpanSet. In addition, the active day offered the opportunity to gain an insight into the rope trade. For example, customers have experienced the kind of rope grouting frequently used on mountain railways. The demonstration of a long splice was also extremely interesting for customers, as otherwise one hardly gets to see such craftsmanship. With the presentation of Dyneema hoisting ropes, Carl Stahl demonstrated the leap from tradition to modernity in the rope trade. The customers all left the event with a good feeling for what business partner Carl Stahl had to offer them.
